Welcome to my blog. Here you will find whatever is bringing me joy right now.
Please join me in this spiritual agreement, from my mentor and friend, Jana Massey:
"Together we agree that everything that we think, that we say and that we do at this time will be of the highest good. And together we ask for truth, the understanding of that truth and the wisdom to use it in our lives."
Thank you.

As a Clairvoyant Healer, Spiritual Counselor and Intuition Instructor, I share many tips for leading a healthy and fulfilling life. Please be advised that I am not a doctor. Nor am I licensed in any healing modality. However, I have had years of experience in alternative and complementary health and healing. All healing programs, including standard western medical protocols in addition to natural therapies, can cause harm rather than the benefit that you may be searching for. After all some people can have a strong reaction to something as seemingly innocent as peanuts or strawberries. Therefore, anything that I may recommend in these blogs and videos could be dangerous for you to try. So, it is important that you Ask Your Doctor First before trying any natural healing protocol. However, most medical doctors have little experience regarding natural healing programs and herbal medicine. So please understand if your doctor is unfamiliar with these ideas.
There is no greater authority in our lives than our own self. Only we know all of the various situations and circumstances that have brought us to be who we are today. Of course, it never hurts to gather information and opinions. It's nice to see what our loved ones have to offer when we are faced with a decision. But when it comes to making choices in our life, we are our own best authority. There have been times in my life when I have relied on the opinions of others, especially in my youth. And I have certainly done my fair share of offering up my thoughts and concerns to others. However, on some level, both of these situations are subject to illusion and projection, especially if there is emotional attachment to the ideas shared. We often think we know what might be good for someone else. But, really, most likely, that same advice that we'd like to share turns out to be something that would be good for us. And unless we take the time to ask within on our own behalf, we barely know what might benefit us best. So, how do we ask within? It's really quite simple. We just need to get still and let ourselves be. No agenda. Just sitting somewhere, perhaps in a little personal sanctuary, or walking down a country lane, taking a momentary break from the hustle and bustle of all of our daily thoughts. Look at a flower, or a bug for a moment or two. Really look. Or take a bite of something, then slowly chew it. Let yourself thoroughly taste it. Or listen and see if you can hear a distant sound, try to find the one that sounds the most far away. Lend your ear to the task. All of these simple awareness techniques let your attention come to the here and now. Then, once you've had a few moments, just being yourself, think of something that you really love, it could be a puppy or a sunset. This engages our heart mind, our higher self, our super-conscious mind, and it puts us in the best part of our self from which to receive. Now go ahead and ask yourself how you feel about the question at hand. Let your ears listen, give yourself the gift of introspection, let your eyes see using your vision center, notice how it feels in your gut. Our gut feelings let us also check in with any body memories that may be associated with the idea. Then settle back into your heart again. Ask your heart how it feels about the prospect. Listen there. You'll likely get one clear idea, something that resonates you. Or, maybe you will get an array of ideas. If you do make careful mental note of them all. Take the time to let them coalesce into a plan of action and then go with that. We don't need a middle man when finding our way in life. We are innately born knowing what we came here to do and when we ask within we are guided on our way. I like to call this process, "Dialing Direct." When we take the time to ask within and then honor what we receive with actions that are in harmony with our internal responses, our whole self comes more fully into alignment. We find our place in the world and in the Universe as well. Then as well, the simple act of letting ourselves 'ask within' engages the great spiritual law of asking and receiving. The more we ask, the more we receive. When we live our lives in accordance with spiritual laws such as this one, we find greater levels of self-fulfillment and we free ourselves to increase the joy in our lives. So, take the time to ask. I have found that it is a lovely practice.
The prime medicinal herbs traditionally found in hedgerows have been a wonderful way for people to heal themselves through the centuries. Enjoy this short video about the many beauties of the hedgerow.

Laughter feels so good! It releases. It relaxes. It makes us feel whole. So, why on earth do we all spend so much time being so serious? You'd think we were suffering giant afflictions most of the time. When really, the only thing we are suffering from is a lack of the habits of happiness and joy. Children laugh hundreds of times a day. Adults only a few dozen, if we are lucky. Some of us hardly laugh at all. It is as if we think we will go farther or do better if we are serious most of the time. And yet, the opposite is true. When we laugh, we loosen up. Inspirations flow while fresh and fun perspectives flood on in. Laughter frees our breath and stimulates our immune systems. It heals our bodies and our minds.
I think that when we are laughing we are sharing our souls. Laughter opens our hearts and brings us into the present. It's like we are serving the finest desert to the Universe. It occurred to me one day, years ago, that The Universe Feeds On Our Joy. And it is our job to provide that kind of nourishment to not only the world around us, but to the heavens above as well. And when we laugh out loud, we are handing out the sweetness and cream of our day. So, let yourself laugh. Remember to play. Let it become a part of your day. Frank and I literally chase each other around the house. We play, 'Catch Me If You Can.' We run and cut around the corners. We hop up on and over the bed. We grab and tickle each other and then fall gasping and laughing in each others arms. It's easy and it makes life delightful. So, play with the dog. Entice the cat with a string. Go outside and talk to the birds then laugh at yourself for trying. It's fun to have fun.
Even tough times don't have to be so bad. I have a friend who is somewhat unlucky in love. But she never-the-less keeps on trying and she shares with me some of her more colorful exploits. With only the slightest embellishments, real life becomes hilarious. Years ago, I came across a pairing of experiences and sex was paired with humor. I was young at the time and I thought, 'How could this be, sex is so serious and so intimate,' but really, when you think of it, hardly anything is funnier. The subject of men and women is always ripe for a laugh.
So, jump on in, crack up and think of how silly we all are, let it be funny and fun. It will brighten your day and lighten the days of all who are around you. Let your smiles turn to giggles and may your guffaws and peals of laughter ring through the heavens and bounce off the walls of your home.
I gave an hour long talk earlier this month on some of the simple understandings that I have gained about our health during my three decades as a clairvoyant healer. We had the great blessing of Felice Dunas, Ph.D. speaking here in San Luis Obispo this past weekend for our Sixth Annual Central Coast Women's Symposium. Her message was clear. Our biological sexual behavior, our basic nature of Yin and Yang affects every action in our lives.
As she was speaking nearly every one of us in attendance had wonderful 'Aha moments' as we recognized behaviors that we had experienced in ourselves, in our partners, in our friends and in our co-workers. A common phrase that was uttered in response to these little epiphanies was, something like, "Oh! That explains why he did that! I get it now." We all know the basic principle of yin and yang, but to hear it applied to our contemporary everyday lives was most enlightening. Yin's (the feminine's) job is to receive. Yang's (the masculine's) job is to give. And the energy of giving and receiving flows between the two. Yin receives from the skin inward and Yang gives from the skin outward. Each of the fields in the symbol contains a dot of the others color, meaning that we all have a little of the other's energy within us, rather like C. J. Jung's animus containing anima and visa versa. In its most essential dynamic, the masculine gives as the sperm moves out from the man's body. The woman takes it into hers, she receives. The skin of the egg opens and draws the sperm within. This is the cycle of our biological creation and its basic pattern influences all aspects of our lives. As the man speaks his words of love to her in just the right way, her face lights up and starts to glow. The energy of yin is awakened and flows from her skin inward, from her head to her pelvis. Soon after her thighs open and she receives his energy. As his gift is received, she creates new life from within and becomes pregnant. Her words informing him of this event, inspire him into action. The energy rises from his pelvis to his head and he gets ideas and plans for how he will care for his family. His Yang energy rises from his skin up and out into the world as he creates new life from without. According to Dr. Dunas, the circle of energy between them flows from her head down into her body to her pelvis. From there it travels into his pelvis and rises up to his head. Then it cycles into her head where it proceeds down her body again. And round and round we go. This then is the cycle of energy in normal human relations from the Chinese Medicinepoint of view. Now, Felice explained that if his words can no longer inspire her to create within or her words can no longer inspire him to create without, then the relationship may falter. She gave us an example. One of her clients was in the kitchen making cookies and paying the bills with her five kids and three neighbor children all busily playing and squabbling around her. Her husband come home from work, took one look at her and felt his desire for her rise. He shared his feelings with her and she felt unable to receive and said something like, "Are you crazy, can't you see how busy I am here?" That response blocked the flow of energy between her husband and herself.
Dr. Dunas went on to explain that had the woman, in this instance, been able to receive by saying something like, "That sounds wonderful, why don't you take over here (with action out in the world,) tending to the kitchen, bills and kids, while I go upstairs, take a bath, slip into bed and get ready to receive you. Meanwhile, you can wrap things up with the cookies and the kids." Sounds like a good plan, doesn't it? He has the outward energy to push through it all while she primes herself to pull some of that energy in.
Felice explained that we women too often tend to give and give and give, like this woman had been doing and instead we need to embrace our femininity, our yin, and allow ourselves to receive. It is our basic human nature. And when we can't receive and we give too much, the wound we women experience is the feeling of abandonment. And if the man is not permitted to give, his wound is rejection.
Dr. Dunas has taken these ancient principles for understanding our human behaviors beyond the sphere of marital relationships into the bigger picture of the corporate world where she helps various organizations and human resources departments with understanding how to keep the flow of energy moving between businesses and the people who manage and run them. As we settle into an understanding of the basic principles of the flow of energy in our lives, things become easier for all of us and we learn how to give and receive with greater grace and ease, and in accordance with our own true nature.
Few among us have not suffered from the painful and incessant itch of poison oak or poison ivy. It can hospitalize us in extreme cases and drive us crazy in more normal situations. Fortunately, now there is relief. I have discovered a foolproof cure for this troublesome condition. Enjoy this short vlog to find out what works, why and how.
